| Amy
McMullen received a General
Studies degree from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston,
Louisiana, is a nationally registered paramedic, and
is currently obtaining a degree in Business Management
and Administration. She has been an ACS employee for
five years.
Through the years a myriad of processes
have been developed that address every issue that arises
in the reimbursement management for each ACS client.
Amy McMullen is primarily responsible for the successful
implementation of each process. Amy knows the emergency
transportation industry intimately, for she came to
ACS from Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport,
Louisiana, where she performed the duties of Flight
Communications Specialist/Business Coordinator.
In addition to the coordination of
these many processes at ACS, she adds the medical management
component to the ACS management team necessary for the
ongoing continuity necessary to maximize reimbursement
for ACS clients, the “marriage” of medical and billing
issues. She, too, takes a hands-on role with every ACS
client and is always just a phone-call away. Amy also
serves as the ACS HIPAA Operations Representative.
Her main area of responsibility in
this area is in the assistance with planning and execution
of HIPAA related policies and procedures, ensuring operational
adherence overall.
