Tonjes came to ACS in 2001 with a wealth of experience
in operational and administrative positions. He was
promoted to the rank of Colonel two years ahead of his
contemporaries and retired with over twenty-six years
in the United States Air Force. He was the Base Commander,
essentially the Mayor, of the largest bomber base in
the Air Force commanding over 6,000 people in twelve
diverse units, and supporting a population of over 40,000
active duty, reserve, and retired family members.
Earl was the highly successful Vice
President of Operations of a large uniformed security
company with clients in three states and at over forty
sites. He looks at every aspect of administration within
ACS to determine the most efficient, effective approach
to hiring, training and evaluating personnel in all
departments.
Earl runs the human resources and
employee benefits programs ensuring well-qualified people
perform with excellence for ACS clients. Organizational
structure, job responsibilities, training and procedures
are defined using the tenants of the ISO 9000 system.
Electronic imaging, work flow management
and automation are projects Earl has advocated and that
are underway to better serve clients by processing claims
in an even more effective manner.
Earl serves also as the ACS HIPAA
Chairman, and is responsible for overall compliance,
training, policies, contracts, as well as planning.
