| Scott
Shurley accepted the role of
Chief of Information Services in October of 2002. He is
a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a degree
in Management Information Systems. Immediately
following Scott’s graduation, he accepted a job with
Electronic Data Systems where he provided Engineering
and Information System services to General Motors Corporation.
Scott has used his knowledge in Information
Systems, Project Management, and ISO 9000 procedures
that he gained from working with these two Fortune 500
companies to better the technical infrastructure at
ACS. Along with invaluable experience in a high performance
production environment, Scott has furthered his technical
knowledge by receiving formal training in several areas
such as Database Management and Programming.
This enables Scott to develop specialized
reports that give valuable information to clients. Scott
is also responsible for the implementation of several
projects at ACS including electronic imaging and workflow
management. Scott is dedicated to keeping ACS on the
cutting edge of technical billing services, while providing
a stable and productive information system environment.
Additionally, Scott serves as the
ACS HIPAA Security Officer. In this role, Scott is directly
responsible for ensuring that all electronic release/use
of PHI (Protected Health Information) is in accordance
with all HIPAA requirements.
