In
1992, Dan Newman founded Accounting Corporation of the
South as a collection agency that specialized in medical
reimbursement management. Over a five year period, he
refined medical reimbursement management for many medical
clients, and began specialization in emergency medical
transportation receivables management.
This evolved into Aeromedical Collection
Services, Inc. (ACS) in 1997. ACS handles only medical
transportation receivables management for ambulance
services of all types in every part of the nation. It
is the oldest and largest such company in existence,
with headquarters in Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana,
and satellite operations in Washington, D.C., Dallas,
Texas, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Tyler, Texas,
and employees approximately 75 fulltime.
For calendar year 2002, Louisiana
State University School of Economics ranked ACS as the
27th largest privately held corporation in East Texas
and North Louisiana. |
